To mount the harddrive I decided to take some superfluous care and used rubber o-rings to damp down at least some vibrations passed through to the construction. Well, to be completely frank I have to say that I am allergic to many things and one of those is the crappy PC noise... I did the tests and the o-rings are there to stay. Besides, I also thought that this kind of approach might help to make the drive feel more comfortable and level-off possible inaccuracies of the supporting rails' positions in order to avoid unnecessary tensions on the hdd's own case. Hm, do I really understand what I wrote here?
